Rags To Riches Cat Rescue is a volunteer-run, federally registered charity with a big mission: to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome forgotten cats and kittens abandoned across southwestern Ontario’s rural communities.

Many of the cats we save have been dumped, abused, or left to fend for themselves in harsh conditions — freezing winters, predator-filled woods, or remote areas where help never comes. With zero government funding and limited resources, our small but dedicated team works around the clock to give these animals what every living being deserves: safety, medical care, love, and a second chance at life.

Every cat in our care is spayed or neutered, fully vetted, and given the individualized attention they need to heal and thrive. We also work tirelessly to combat overpopulation and educate the community about proper cat care and welfare.

In 2025 alone, 257 cats found their forever homes through our rescue! This is a true testament to what compassion, resilience, and a caring community can achieve when we come together. 

We currently care for 250+ cats through our rescue, and as you can imagine, this comes with significant costs. We are in urgent need of donations to help cover food, medical care, and essential daily supplies for the cats in our care. Your support also helps fund rescue operations and the upgrades needed for a larger facility with dedicated quarantine areas and a more sustainable environment.

In addition to monetary support, we need people we can rely on: fosters, volunteers, and advocates to help us continue our life-saving work. Every share, every home opened to our kitties, and every hour of your time makes a real difference and is so deeply appreciated.
